Refund & Cancellation.
Effective date · 1 February 2026
1. Overview
This Refund & Cancellation Policy governs all payments made by nominees, delegates and sponsors on indiainternationaljewelleryawards.com for the India International Jewellery Awards 2026 (“IIJA 2026”) — presented by Tefla’s in association with IBJA.
By completing a payment on this Website (via Razorpay, bank transfer or any other approved channel), you acknowledge that you have read and agree to the terms of this policy.
2. Nature of the product / service
IIJA nomination fees, delegate passes and sponsorship contributions are payments for a curated professional service — namely, the right to be evaluated by an independent jury, the reservation of a delegate seat, or the delivery of specific sponsor entitlements at the awards evening on 2 October 2026 at The Westin Mumbai Powai Lake. They are not the purchase of a physical good and, once the reservation and evaluation process has commenced, the resources committed by the secretariat, jury and venue are non-recoverable.
3. Nomination fees
Nomination fees (₹21,000 + 18% GST per category) are non-refundable once payment is successfully received, because processing begins immediately — entries are opened for evaluation, jury access is provisioned, and the entry is dispatched to the pre-jury panel.
Refunds will however be issued in the following exceptional circumstances:
- Duplicate charge — where the same nomination has been charged twice due to a technical error.
- Failed transaction — where the payment gateway confirms a debit but the nomination was not created in our system.
- Cancellation of the awards by the organiser prior to the jury round (a rescheduled event does not qualify).
4. Delegate passes
Delegate seats at the awards evening are strictly limited and are allotted on a first-paid basis. Accordingly:
- Cancellation more than 45 days before the event (before 18 August 2026): 70% refund of the pass value.
- Cancellation between 15–45 days before the event (19 August – 17 September 2026): 40% refund of the pass value.
- Cancellation within 14 days of the event (from 18 September 2026): non-refundable.
- Name change: a one-time complimentary transfer of the pass to a colleague from the same company is permitted up to 7 days before the event, subject to written approval by the secretariat.
- Complimentary IBJA Platinum passes: are non-transferable and carry no monetary value; no refund is applicable.
5. Sponsorship contributions
Sponsorship agreements are governed by the signed sponsor contract executed between the sponsor and Tefla’s. Refund terms, milestone payments and cancellation clauses set out in that contract shall prevail over this policy. In the absence of a contract, sponsorship advance payments are treated as non-refundable once entitlements (branding, delegate passes, on-stage moments) have been reserved.
6. Postponement or force majeure
Should the awards evening be postponed or rescheduled due to any force-majeure event (including but not limited to acts of God, pandemic, government restriction, or venue unavailability), all confirmed nominations and delegate passes will remain fully valid for the rescheduled date. No refund is payable in such cases; however, delegates unable to attend the new date may transfer the pass to a nominated colleague at no additional charge.
7. How to request a refund
To request a refund permissible under Sections 3, 4 or 6 above, please write to the secretariat with:
- Your nomination or registration number (e.g. IIJA-N-XXXXXX or IIJA-R-XXXXXX)
- The Razorpay payment id or bank UTR / transaction reference
- A brief explanation of the reason for refund
8. Refund timelines & mode
- All eligible refund requests will be acknowledged within 3 working days.
- Approved refunds are processed within 7–10 working days from approval.
- Refunds are credited to the original payment instrument (Razorpay reversal for online payments; NEFT to the source bank account for bank-transfer payments). Depending on your bank, credit may take a further 3–5 working days to reflect.
- GST already remitted to the government cannot be recovered and will be adjusted per prevailing law.
- Any bank charges, forex conversion loss or payment-gateway fees deducted at the time of the original transaction are non-refundable.
9. Chargebacks
We request that you contact the secretariat before initiating any bank chargeback. Chargebacks raised without first attempting resolution with us will be disputed with supporting documentation, and any associated bank charges recovered from the payer.
10. Grievance officer
If your refund concern remains unresolved after contacting our secretariat, you may escalate to our grievance officer:
